St.
Paul was a man who aimed high. Some
people aim at nothing and hit the target every time.
Paul was ambitious to reach men everywhere for Christ, and he had a
motto, which just about covered everything.
He said “I am made all things to all men that I might BY ALL MEANS save
some.” - 1 Corinthians 9:22.
Even
Paul would have to admit that he did not achieve complete success, for “by all
means” is a high aim. Chris
has a high aim too: “Presenting Christ by all means everywhere”.
He will never fully achieve it, but such a motto saves him from
complacency and keeps him pressing on. Chris
was born in 1952 and moved to Eastbourne with his wife Jean in 1974. They have two daughters Emilie (married to Andrew) and Jenny
(married to Gareth). They also have
two grandchildren Joshua and Nathan. Chris
has been a full-time evangelist for over 13 years, having originally trained
with Open Air Campaigners as a street evangelist. He has also worked extensively in schools for many years and
was commissioned by East Sussex Education Authority to lecture teachers on the
art of communicating effectively with large groups of children. |
